Chris has acted on major construction, engineering, mining, infrastructure and renewable energy projects across a number of African jurisdictions where he has represented clients in numerous large scale contentious matters through arbitration, adjudication and court proceedings. He has also, for a number of years, advised major main contractor clients on day-to-day contract management in regard to mega projects in these sectors. Notable projects include the Medupi and Kusile Power Stations in South Africa, the Morupule Power Station in Botswana and the Golden Valley and Excelsior wind farms.
He has advised on complex contract negotiations for large projects in various African jurisdictions, including power stations, multi-use high rise buildings and wind and solar farms and is familiar with all standard form contracts, including FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, GCC etc.)
Chris joined the Primerio team in 2022 where he supplements the commercial litigation team and is involved in matters relating to, amongst others, competition law and antitrust, regulatory advice and anti-fraud and corruption matters.
